OK - here's some straight talk on why most people are missing the boat when starting an eBiz. People visit my http://www.lessworkmoremoney.com site & email me that if they could only find product "X" they'd make a killing.

Why is it that people with great products can fail miserably while mediocre products are selling like hot cakes?

It's that simple. It all comes down to marketing.

Finding suppliers is not the key to selling online! Don't get me wrong - having good suppliers is important. But what's the good of great products if  no one can find them?

Most businesses fail on this simple fact - you have to focus on marketing to make money online. How to market online is more important than having good products because good marketing can sell mediocre products. Good products marketed poorly just won't sell.

Even with the hottest product in the world, you won't sell a thing if you don't know how to attract targeted  visitors to your website & convert them into buyers.

So to anyone who's thinking of selling online - don't  get caught up in the process of finding products unless  you tie that into the marketing side of your business  concept.

A big part of being successful online is learning how to  pick winning products that you can market inexpensively to  a specific niche market.

In the Ultimate E-Marketing & Dropshippers Guide, I teach  a quick way to identify whether a potential product will  be a money maker or not before you spend any money, develop  a website or get hooked up with a supplier.

And this is the key to starting a good business - picking  products that will make you money because you can market  them effectively.  So if you are starting off convinced that you are going to sell product X, Y, or Z, you need to stop & test whether:

1) the demand is great enough

2) you can attract targeted visitors to your site inexpensively        enough to make money (effective marketing)

If either of these 2 things proves false, then you need to pick another product.

This cycle should be repeated until you find something that your research proves will be profitable. Then you find a  supplier, setup a website & do the marketing (newsletter,  affiliate program, search engines, targeted ads, etc...) that  will bring in the traffic to put lots of money in your bank  account.

The good news is that there are millions of niche markets just waiting to be mined & plenty of opportunity to make money.
